Paul Ryan-Doing big things is hard
After being forced to pull the health care bill, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan stood before the media and confessed that “doing big things is hard.”
Ryan was forced to acknowledge what he and his fellow Republicans had kept in the dark for also too long.
And what they have kept hidden, locked away in the depths of their sub-conscious minds is the fact that they just can’t do.
Despite the fact that they have failed, over 60 times to repeal and replace Obamacare, the Republicans have held on to their belief that they would get rid of Obamacare after they get a Republican in the president’s chair.
Welp, that all went South. It went south because the current Republican president suffers from the same condition as members in his party.
They don’t know how to govern. They just know how to keep up hell. Donald Trump spent a considerable amount of his time being mad at then President Obama because of his youth.
There President Obama is in good shape, with good teeth, and good hair. He has one wife, two children, two dogs, and they were all living in a house that is paid for.
Plus, Obama has American ancestry which he can trace back to the great state of Kansas. He’s related to the President of the South Jefferson Davis and Obama’s cousin is former Vice President Dick Cheney.
I can just hear The Donald now, “Lucky bastard, all of that American heritage and yet not one of my parents has a pinch of American blood in them.”
Then there’s the Republican Party. The Grand Old Party and its sub-group, the Freedom Caucus, made Obamacare the poster child for what is wrong with government.
And what the Grand Ole Party and the Freedom Caucus believes is wrong with government is that it is working.
The one thing Republicans can’t have is government working. If the government is working, then it is broken.
But oh, God has His way of making folks see the light of day. And on Friday, Ryan had to admit that he finally sees the light of day and that all of that fussing, cussing, hollering, and carrying on just won’t do.
Speaker Ryan held on to that podium like a sinner holding on to the cross. And with pain in his voice, he confessed to the media that “Obamacare is the law of the land- We were a 10-year opposition party where being against things was easy to do. You just had to be against it. And now, in three months’ time, we try to go to a governing party where we actually have to get 216 people to agree with each other on how we do things and we weren’t just quite there today.”
